This our 104th Show Whitsunday promises patrons young and old some action based entertainment and events.

Our main headline this year is EL Jay and his team of Motorbike and Bicycle Stuntmen.  We are very pleased to welcome the return of these fabulous professional stuntmen that will provide you with a polished performance laced with humour, upbeat soundtracks not to mention gravity defying stunts to thrill and amaze. This members of this team are champions in their choosen fields with multiple titles and many years of experience entertaining crowds of all ages.  You really dont want to miss this act.  El Jay and his team will be performing Friday only so check program for times.

Epic Darren is coming to Show Whitsunday for the very first time this year..... and he promises crowds wont be left wanting.  Epic Darren's performance description reads - "Epic Darren is to Stunt show what a Spinal Tap is to Rock N Roll......... No I dont begin to know what that means but Epic Darren is described as Australia's funniest "Anti Stuntman" perfomring a mix of comedy and "Epic" Stunts.  Inspired by famous stunmen from around the world, Darren is on a quest to see his dame up in lights with the legends of Stunt-ology.  Expect to see the unexpected.....

We will also see the entertaining Noah"s Thorough Bred Pig Racing - who would have thought but yes forget the horses and experience the pig races.  Hysterical fun for all ages.

Balloon Lady Belle also make her debut this year...... Lady Belle will be found somewhere on the grounds creating fabulous balloon characters for your children, from 101 Dalmation charactors to Elsa from Frozen..... Balloon Lady Belle will help you creat wonderful memories for your children.

Fireworks - Of course what would Show Whitsunday be without the traditional climax of Friday night - the  Fireworks Spectacular.  As always our fireworks display never disappoints.

Animals abound

All the usual animals will be on display including cattle, chickens and ducks and of course the exciting action of the horse riding events in the Main Ring.

And back by popular demand is Melville’s Animal Farm – the most popular site at the Show.......always a massive hit with children who can get close to cute and cuddly farm animals including baby goats, ducklings, guinea pigs and lamas.

This year we again have 2 special demonstations by Whitsunday Dog Obedience Club.  The wonderful members of this club and their prize possessions will be demonstrating exactly what their club is all about - obedience and agility.  So come along and check out the affinity between parents and their dogs............  Appearing 2pm and 4pm on Friday only in the Dog Arena.

Plants and Produce

There will be all the old favourites including the wood chop and annual cane competition.

And for the green-fingered there are the usual farm and garden produce competitions, as well as floral art and horticulture competitions. Entry forms available under ‘Entrants’.

Arts, crafts and trade shows

And not forgetting the ever-popular art, crafts, photography, needlework and cooking competitions, which continue to grow every year. Our arts and photography sections grow enormously every year and we expect 2016 to be no different.   Program and Entry forms available under ‘Entrants’.  This year in the Arts & Craft Pavilion we will also be featuring Koala Creations who are conducting creative workshops in the region later in the year.  Koala Creations provide both creative workshops and an online store featuring a variety of crafts.  Check out their website for more details www.koalacreations.com.au 

And as if all that’s not enough, we have the Machinery Exhibit and also a diverse range of traders offering all sorts of items for a bit of retail therapy.

By night…

Night owls can enjoy a late-night at the notorious Show Bar open until late.

And not forgetting Side Show Alley, which runs until late both evenings (starts 1pm Friday) and features all the old favourites including Zipper, Ali Baba, Scrambler and Sky Walker!
